Structure from Motion (SfM) is a photogrammetric technique to construct 3D structures from a 2D images taken from different angles.

It involves identifying key features and matching them across images, and using the camera position and direction to triangulate 3D coordinates of these features. The output of this process is a sparse 3D point cloud.
